With a head forged from 2Cr13 stainless steel and a black nylon handle, this weapon is a modern take on a Renaissance war hammer design. The Honshu war hammer can be held with one or both hands. The handle and connecting parts of the head are treated with a black oxide coating to protect it from rust.

Starting with the head, it has a mallet in front and a concave poll spike in the back. In the middle, this tactical warhammer has a steel truncated cube anchoring the head to the haft. The official Honshu logo is on the cube, showing off its authenticity. A single spike is on top of the cube. The mallet, top spike, and the poll spike taper into black, circular sections toward the middle.

The mallet has a notch in the center, splitting it up into two prongs. At the back, the beak is straight except for a concave section in the middle. The black nylon handle is grooved for a secure grip and riveted along the length. The pommel has a lanyard hole for extra carrying options and notches on either side for added detail.
