Freedom! Step into the epic battles of the highlands wielding the William Wallace Greatsword. William Wallace was a renowned Scottish knight who fought for his land’s independence, and this greatsword is an excellent reminder of those brutal medieval battles.
Inspired by William Wallace
Crafted in honor of Scotland’s legendary freedom fighter, this claymore greatsword is fully functional and ready for battle. Forged as one piece from EN45 high-carbon steel, this Scottish greatsword is a truly intimidating presence on the battlefield. Carbon steel is renowned for its strength and durability. This greatsword is meant to be wielded with both hands for maximum power and control.
Starting with the unsharpened double-edged blade, it has a diamond-shaped cross-section and a suede leather-wrapped ricasso. The ricasso is the long base of the blade above the crossguard. This suede-wrapped ricasso accommodates a modified grip for increased control over the blade, also known as “half-swording.”
The cast brass crossguard has straight quillons that end in rings. Like the ricasso, the long, smooth wooden handle is wrapped in stitched suede for a secure hold. Two bands at the top of the handle accommodate a forward-facing grip. The notched scent-stopper pommel is made of brass and complete with a button.
