Made from carbon steel, this messer sword has a long, single-edged blade. The wide blade has a small secondary edge near the top on the spine. A fuller runs down most of the length of the blade.
The sword continues with a wide, straight crossguard. In the center, the crossguard has a side guard that sticks out. It helps with deflecting blows away from the wielders hand. The hilt continues with a gently curved handle. The handle has a short section of wood, riveted in place. Meanwhile, the rest of the handle consists of the pommel. The steel pommel continues the flat, smooth shape of the wood. It curves slightly towards the edge side of the sword. Finally, this sword comes with a leather scabbard. The Talhoffer Langmesser Sword is great for historical reenactments or adding to a medieval sword collection.
