This formula is free of any acids commonly found in other polishes based on beeswax or carnuba wax. Since it is free of acids, the formula reduces possible damage to the item its applied to. It has a matte finish if left unpolished, but buffs to a high gloss finish. The wax provides a barrier against fingerprints and moisture. Finally, the formula has no added fragrance.
