Carbon steel is renowned for its strength and durability. The unsharpened double-edged blade has a hardness of 48-52 HRc and a fuller. The blade is also forged with a distal taper, getting gradually thinner from the base down to the tip for a more favorable balance.

Made of wood and wrapped in green leather, the hilt accommodates a one-handed grip like true historical broadswords. This grip is wider at the top, accommodating your thumb and forefingers. This places the weight further forward and gives you more power on the swing. The short, horizontal guard is made of steel. At the bottom, this Viking sword has a grooved cocked hat pommel. The hilt is peened over the pommel.

This Viking reenactment sword comes with a wooden scabbard wrapped in dark brown leather. The throat is stitched with black leather for added detail and securing the guard when sheathed.
