The Tonbo Katana honors the dragonfly, a symbol of courage and strength in Japanese culture. Take courage and strength with you into combat. Made from folded K120C high-carbon steel, this functional samurai sword features a curved blade, typical of Japanese swords. It features a visible temper-line and fold pattern. Also, the blade has a medium-length, or chu, tip.
The sword has a brass blade collar before a black iron tsuba. Bronze and gold detailing depicts a dragonfly and a flower on the circular tsuba. Then, the sword continues with a traditionally wrapped handle. Purple Japanese cotton wraps around the white ray-skin grip.
Finally, this sword comes with a black lacquered scabbard. It has a dark blue and black silk cord wrapping near the top. Further down the scabbard, there are more dragonfly designs. The scabbard also has buffalo horn fittings. This Japanese katana is ideal for wielding at a reenactment or sword practice. You can add the Tonbo Katana to any sword collection.
