Based on a Norse seax on display at the British Museum, this historical replica features a single-edged blade with a sheepsfoot tip. This design is typical of Viking daggers. Etched Futhark runes run along the high-carbon steel blade. The Vikings believed runes possessed magical power and often inscribed them onto weapons to increase power. The dagger continues with a straight crossguard before a ridged grip. The brown leather-wrapped handle gives you a firm grip on this surprisingly light and quick weapon. The Runic Long Seax comes with a brown leather scabbard and two back-belt hanging straps. This functional dagger is great for historical reenactments. You can also add it to your Norse armoury.
