Also, the shinogi-zukuri blade features a visible temper-line. The sword features a brass blade collar before the black circular tsuba. The tsuba has an eight-spoked, Kuruma, design.
The hilt continues with a long, wrapped handle. Black cotton wraps around the cream-colored ray-skin grip. Two pegs secure the handle onto the tang. The handle has blackened iron fittings. Finally, this sword comes with a black lacquered scabbard. The scabbard features a black cord wrapping, or sageo, at the top.
