Musketeers, when fighting in the defense of their king, require a blade to aid them. Check out the Pappenheimer Pierced Guard Rapier. Made from EN45 high carbon steel, this sword has a thin, double-edged blade. The sword continues with a classic Pappenheimer hilt design. This design features angled discs that cup the hand, merged with curved quillons that provide a secondary defense. There are square shaped holes on the angled disks. The holes form a diamond shape. On the blade side of the guard, there is a removable, black felt pad. This pad helps to protect the guard from scratches. On the hilt side, there is a red covering on the angled disks of the guard.
The mild steel hilt continues with a wooden, wire-wrapped grip and ends with a cylindrical, scent stopper-style pommel. Finally, this sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Black leather covers the scabbard. It has a steel throat and chape. There is a hanging pin on the throat. The Pappenheimer Pierced Guard Rapier is a great option for historical reenactments and adding to sword collections.
