The seax, also called the sax or scramasax, was a short knife used for daily tasks and as a warrior’s sidearm during the Migration Period to the early medieval period. Starting with the single-edged blade, it has the iconic sheepsfoot style reminiscent of broadseaxes. This historical LARP seax has an extended cutting edge and three fullers. The narrow fuller in the middle is flanked by two wider fullers. The fullers are designed to remove excess weight from the blade without compromising its balance or durability. The medieval LARP seax’s manageable length makes it quick and easy to control in battle. It can slip past enemy shields and defenses while in close quarters engagements like shield walls.

Instead of a guard, this LARP scramasax has a round gold-colored bolster. The handle is textured to resemble wood, complete with two golden studs like rivets for a hint of authentic detail. Instead of a traditional pommel, it has a textured, slightly flared base resembling shaped wood. Beneath this base is a three-lobed button attached to a ring.
