Forged from stainless steel, this katana is a faithful replica of feudal Japanese katanas, now recreated with enchanting detail. This katana, also known as a Japanese longsword, can be wielded with one or both hands. The unsharpened blade is slightly curved like true uchigatana from feudal Japanese history. The uchigatana is another traditional term for describing this slightly curved Japanese katana. Clever detailing in the steel reveals a distinct hamon line. Hamon is the wavy pattern close to the cutting edge of the blade. On the other side, the spine of the blade has a textured finish for authentic charm.

The grey habaki, or blade collar, is anchored to the guard and grooved for intricate detail. The tsuba, or crossguard, boasts a golden finish for regal charm. This tsuba is carved similar to the mokko-gata style with its characteristic lobes and perforated holes. The design has two hearts, one on each side, accented with oval leaves. Right underneath it, there is a spacer called the fuchi engraved with flowers. The handle is wrapped in a layer of faux white ray skin, then wrapped with black faux leather, known as tsuka-ito. At the bottom, the hilt is wrapped through a silver kashira pommel. The pommel has a Sarute ring connected to it.

This decorative katana comes with a black hardwood saya, also known as a scabbard. It has a black topmount, known as the koiguchi, that braces against the guard when sheathed. The scabbard has black sageo, also known as a cord tied around the scabbard for tying onto your belt. The sageo is tied to a kurigata, known as the protrusion on the scabbard. Please note the cords on the scabbard and the handle may not be as pictured.
