This training weapon is inspired by the Honshu Boshin Saber (UC3514), a modern take on a traditional saber design. Designed for the modern saber duelist, this Honshu training saber is the perfect choice for new beginners and experienced swordfighters alike. Made from pure black polypropylene, this training sword helps you hone your skills for battle. Polypropylene is nearly indestructible, meaning it can stand up to intense sparring and solo drills.

This training saber is intended to be wielded in one hand. The textured handle curves toward the blade. At the top, the handle has two concave finger grooves that conform to your grip. The pommel has a lanyard hole for extra carrying options.

Like its historical inspirations, this Boshin training saber has an S-shaped guard designed to protect your grip. The guard is longer in the front and curves toward the handle. In the back, the guard is shorter and curves toward the blade.

Moving down the length, the single-edged blade has an upswept tip with beveled “false” and “cutting” edges. The “false” edge ends at the back of the foible, also known as the longer, weaker side of the blade. A fuller runs up the back of the spine and ends at the foible. This fuller has three perforated holes in it.
