Become a mighty pharaoh or a fierce guard defending one when you wield the Full Tang Egyptian Black Khopesh against your foes. This curved sword takes its design from the world of Ancient Egypt and of its pharaohs. Multiple pharaohs have been depicted with a pair of these striking swords.
While the original blades were made of bronze or iron, this sword has one of C60 high-carbon steel. It has a deep sickle design common to the khopesh sword. Historically, the inside of the curve was useful for pulling upon an opponent’s arm or shield.
A brass two-headed snake runs along the center of the blade, facing towards the hilt. Grooves adorn the snakes body. Both sides of the blade features this snake design. The edge of the functional sword runs along the outside of the curve. The base of the blade features a brass bolster before the wooden hilt.
Just after the bolster is a flat guard. The blackened wood hilt narrows to the grip. It gently curves down and widens out for the angled pommel. Brass rivets secure the grip to the tang of the blade.
Finally, this Egyptian sword comes with a leather scabbard. It secures over the blade with three straps and posts. The brown scabbard also has a shoulder strap for carrying. Of course, when you are not taking this sword into battle, make sure to maintain it with some of our maintenance supplies. It is ideal for any Egyptian reenactment. You can also easily add this khopesh to any collection of ancient weaponry.
