Bringing in the beauty of nature to swordfighting, the Flower Katana by Cold Steel has both style and great functionality. Made from forge-folded 1060 high-carbon steel, this functional sword features a curved blade, typical of Japanese swords. A fuller runs along the length of the clay-tempered blade. Also, the deferentially hardened blade has a convex grind and a visible temper line.
The sword has a copper-alloy blade collar before a matching crossguard, or tsuba. A floral pattern adorns the tsuba. Then, the hilt features a wrapped hardwood handle. Black silk wraps around the cream ray skin on the handle. The handle ends with a floral pommel, or kashira.
Finally, this sword comes with a hardwood scabbard. The lacquered scabbard has a black finish with a copper-alloy koijiri, or chape of the scabbard. This sword is a great companion for any warrior at a reenactment or on the battlefield.
