Thermofuming fuses the closed cell foam of the blade together, making this LARP sword safe, tough, and shred-resistant. Starting with the double-edged blade, this LARP weapon has been designed to resemble the forged swords from Viking myth. There is a flat medial ridge down the middle. The blade has minor chips and cracks down the length giving it a weathered, battle-damaged finish. This battle damage is intentional, making it look like a survivor of countless duels and battles. This durable foam blade then surrounds a strong fiberglass core which is in turn reinforced with a high weave polyester similar to Kevlar for heightened safety.

But what truly sets the blade apart are the intricate Futhark runes down the length. These runes are separated by triskeles, spiritually significant symbols of fate in Norse myth. These engravings start at the forte, the shorter, stronger side of the blade closest to the hilt, and end at the foible. Along the foible, the runes read: “Patience is Victory.” The forte reads: “A tree does not fall with the first blow.” Each inscription is a statement of knowledge and the warrior’s path.
