Starting with the sharpened and double-edged blade, it has a fuller and a distal taper. Fullers remove excess material from the blade without compromising its strength. The distal taper means it’s slightly wider at the forte and gradually narrows into the foible. The forte is the stronger side of the blade closest to the hilt and the foible contains the tip. The stainless steel crossguard has an angled chappe that extends over the base of the blade like a langet. Both quillons curl toward the blade.

Beneath the crossguard is a black leather-wrapped handle. It accommodates a secure one-handed grip with its wrapped texture and three pairs of embossed rings.
