Description

If you wish to become a German mercenary from the 1600s, make sure that you check out the 17th Century Pappenheimer Rapier for your ensemble. Made from EN45 high carbon steel, this sword has a thin, double-edged blade. The sword continues with a classic Pappenheimer hilt design. This design features angled discs that cup the hand, merged with curved quillons that provide a secondary defense. There are round holes on the angled disks. On the blade side of the guard, there is a removable, black felt pad. This pad helps to protect the guard from scratches. On the hilt side, there is a red covering on the angled disks of the guard.

The mild steel hilt continues with a wire-wrapped grip and ends with a cylindrical, scent stopper-style pommel. Finally, this sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Black leather covers the scabbard. It has a steel throat and chape. There is a hanging pin on the throat. This sword is a great option for historical reenactments and adding to sword collections.
