Taking the 15th Century Battle of Nicopolis Longsword into battle, you await the onslaught of the enemy and the victory beyond. Made from C60 high-carbon steel, this functional arming sword takes its name and design inspiration from a 1396 battle involving a Crusader army and the Ottomans.

This medieval knight sword features a double-edged, unsharpened blade. It has a central ridge down half of its length with a pair of fullers along the other half. These fullers lighten the blade, making it easier to wield. In addition, the central ridge and a diamond cross-section close to the tip help to reinforce the blade for puncturing and thrusting.

The bastard sword continues with a cruciform crossguard. The quillons thin out at the ends. They are also slightly wider, creating a somewhat bow-shaped design. Cross cutouts adorn the guard.

The hilt continues with a wooden grip. Brown leather covers the grip. The hilt ends with a peened, disk-shaped pommel. Finally, this Crusader sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Brown leather covers the scabbard. It has a steel chape.

You can carry this sword into battle with a sword frog and either a ring belt or buckle belt, sold separately. It is perfect for any medieval knight or fantasy warrior to wield. It is especially ideal for a medieval reenactment.
