Many of the company of dwarves that went with Thorin carried swords, but the true weapon of a dwarf was either the hammer or the axe. And Fili, his nephew, brought along a brutal war hammer that would leave his enemies battered and broken before him. The Hobbit - Filis LARP Warhammer is a superb recreation, modeled after the very same war hammer that Fili the Dwarf favored in combat when he was not using his swords. The hammer is frightening in its design, possessing a brutal and heavy looking head that ends not in flat, crushing surfaces, but a perforated double-head that looks like it would pierce and mash all that it hits. The dwarven style hammer head is mounted on a long haft, which provides all the momentum necessary to build a good swing. The haft is mostly brown, indicating where the hammers grip lies, while featuring a little cap at the end of the haft that doubles over as a striking end, should you need to use it as such. As a LARP weapon, this hammer is superbly balanced and incredibly hardy, as well as remarkably safe for use. It is crafted from heavy foam latex and sealed in a rubber coating, giving it spring and strength. A fiberglass core ensures that the weapon remains appropriately shaped and solid, while ensuring that the haft has some flex to bend when under duress. Occasionally, swords alone would not do the job, and when that happened, Fili carried a hammer to help tenderize his enemies a bit. And with The Hobbit - Filis LARP Warhammer securely in hand, you can introduce your foes to the crushing power of a dwarven maul whenever you head into battle, too.
