Every good adventurer should carry a weapon, lest of all they face doom on the road. This was, perhaps, what motivated Gandalf to hand the young hobbit an elvish short sword named Sting, when they discovered a lost hoard of treasure in a troll lair. The Hobbit - Bilbos Sting LARP Sword is a recreation of the same sword that Bilbo Baggins took up in his first great adventure, as well as a recreation of the same sword featured in The Hobbit film! Sting is a part of a set of swords founded in a troll lair, along with Glamdring and Orcrist, which once belonged to the Gondolin elves of old. The blade has a classic leaf shape, along with a single trailing line that curves up from the guard and ends approximately half-way down the blade. The hilt features a brown, wood-like tone, set with white spiraled patterns that depict a vine with leaves, wrapping down the grip. The pommel is broad, to best counter-weigh this short swords cutting blade. As a LARP weapon, this sword is superbly balanced and incredibly hardy, as well as remarkably safe for use. It is crafted from heavy foam latex and sealed in a rubber coating, giving it spring and strength. A fiberglass core runes almost the entire length of the blade, ending 2.5 inches before the tip, ensuring form and flexibility. An adventurer and a burglar should always have a weapon handy, just in case things get rough, and for those who want something light and effective, you could not ask for a better blade then The Hobbit - Bilbos Sting LARP Sword, which is modeled after the very one that the famous Bilbo Baggins used on his own travels!
