In the earliest of medieval times, simple weapons, like the spear and the axe, were favored because of the ease that they could be made and replaced. And as this Spearhead shows, that popularity is well-deserved, as simple can also mean effective. This spearhead is the epitome of what a spearhead should be. Pointed and designed for thrusting, this spear head would make for a deadly weapon in battle, once it was mounted on an appropriately sized pole. And therein lays the beauty of a spear. If you break the haft but recover the head, the weapon is easy to repair and replace. This spearhead comes unmounted, but our Ash Pole Stave (OX005) can be adapted to fit the spearhead and create a truly impressive weapon. The spearhead is crafted from mild steel and measures approximately 14 inches long. It is not recommended for throwing, as throwing spears and combat spears (and their respective spearheads) are not always designed the same and thus are not always interchangeable in terms of function. On its own, this Spearhead could make for a good side arm to carry along at your side, as well as a nice collectible to include in your collection, although it does look best when it is given due attention and turned into a spear that will awe all those who see it.
Spearhead is shipped unmounted.
