This particular weapon recreates the classic design of the Scottish claymore very well, featuring a strong, broad blade and the same distinctive guard. The blade is forged entirely out of dual hardened 5160 high carbon steel, while the hilt furnishings are made from mild steel. The blade features a deep fuller that runs down its length, helping manage its weight without detracting from its power or balance. The guard features quillons slanted towards the blade that are capped with quatrefoil tips. A round wheel pommel helps counterbalance the blade, while the full-length tang is wrapped in wood and leather for a comfortable grip. The tang is peened to the pommel for enhanced durability. Included with the sword is a matching scabbard, crafted in wood and wrapped in leather, to use with the sword when it is not in use. A sword belt is not included, so you are free to carry this sword using your own preferred attachment style.
