Designed by Paul Ehlers, this strange weapon is as much an amalgamation of art and arms as can be expected. Depicting a creature carrying a scythe-like halberd, this creation has been named Mythos, here offered as the Mythos Fantasy Hand-Axe. The focal point of this piece is the creature, which serves as a rudimentary hilt for the weapon. This creature is as fantastical as any could imagine, appearing to be some strange combination of demon and Mer-folk. From the waist down, the creature is all tail - long, ribbed on the underside like a lizard, and with a blade-fin on its tail to provide momentum or an additional weapon. Torso and head are vaguely man-like, although the features on the head show that it is something less than human. This bearded creature not only has long ears but also has two long horns that sprout from the top of its head, as well as two grand, bat-like wings from its back. The weapon it holds makes up the blade of this loosely-termed weapon. Scythe-like in nature but closer to a halberd, this weapon consists of a shaft and a broad, curving, axe-like blade. All this comes with a beautiful stand to display it on. Mythos is indeed a fearsome thing, and that is truly represented here in the Mythos Fantasy Hand-Axe.
